What they needed: An online presence—website, social media, and ads—that makes it easy for fans to find their favorite team gear beyond the mall kiosk.
What we delivered: A mobile-first e-commerce site, unified social media profiles, and a launch-phase ad strategy—all completed in a six-week build cycle.
The Challenge
Since starting as a kiosk in the early 2000s at Town Center at Cobb, College Station Sport Stores had grown its catalog to 100 + teams—but it still had zero web or social footprint. Shoppers who heard about the store couldn’t find it online, and out-of-state alumni had no way to buy gear. The goals were clear:
- Establish a searchable, brand-consistent website with basic e-commerce capability
- Create official social channels to engage fans and announce new arrivals
- Drive in-store foot traffic and online sales through targeted ads
Our Approach
- Discovery & Planning — Mapped product categories (SEC, ACC, NFL, MLB, etc.), gathered brand assets, and defined a six-week launch schedule.
- Design & Build — Developed a WooCommerce site with team-filter navigation, high-contrast callouts, and curbside-pickup options for local fans.
- Social Setup — Claimed @CollegeStationSports on Facebook, Instagram, and X; implemented consistent avatars, bios, and link-in-bio tracking.
- Ad Launch — Rolled out geotargeted Facebook and Google Ads focused on “college gear Kennesaw” and team-specific keywords ahead of football season.
Early Indicators (First 30 Days Online)
Detailed analytics are still accumulating, but initial signals include:
- Site indexed by Google within 48 hours of launch
- First online order processed on Day 3
- Organic brand-name searches now surface the website + social profiles
- Paid ads driving measurable in-store coupon redemptions
